It has been a weird week. SO been working 12 hour shifts and that meant coming home, eat, sleep get up go t work etc. This weekend he had Saturday off and worked Sunday. So I spent part of Sunday shopping for fabric. (special pre-sinterklaas shopping Sunday)
Lost it a it a bit in store I think. The 20% special discount days really are a treat for good fabric. Five pairs of trousers are waiting to be transformed from 2D to 3D.
Three shades of brown and 2 greys. Specifically the lighter is a wonderful thick fabric. I think I will make that one up first.
I am also working on a pencil skirt. It has stripes and because of that I have had to rip more seams than are actually in the skirt, But I am working on a special walking slit.
The pattern calls for a standard open slit. Boring as anything. I wanted a fold over but of course decided this AFTER I had cut it hence not enough seam allowance.
It has a little panache and I am doing it from the top of my head. Which is scary and leads to lots of trying pinning, trying more, pinning more, sewing, ripping, sewing You sort of see the frustration growing.
So now I am enhancing the seam allowance with some fabric on the bias (nice with the stripes) and at the bottom a red stripe. Once finished I will publish a picture. That is if I manage to finish it of course.
