We have a garden. Size postal stamp, but a garden it is. As mentioned before SO and I are not blessed with green fingers and much usable knowledge when it comes to things green – of course the things really green that matter to us are Kermit related (my bike).
Anyway we want to have a garden to relax in a new pretty inner city garden, not the well it is kinda a garden look we have now. Appeltern gave us plenty of ideas, but when it comes to implementation we are totally out of our depth and also have no inclination to gain the knowledge to make a garden a garden. Maintenance yes, building no.
So we employed the services or a landscape architect. She measured our garden end of last year and she mailed last week to make an appointment. I mailed her back to see her on Thursday evening around 20.00. It was a tight schedule for us as we wanted to have had dinner beforehand So the meal was easy, tasty but easy. Then the waiting started, continued, continued and continued some more.
You sort of get the picture. We looked up our email again. No that was clear enough about the time, but we had not received a confirmation. Hmmmmm wonder if things did arrive properly. Anyway by 20.45 I called and left a message on her cellphone citing the possibility of miscommunication, but that we were waiting for her. By 21.30 We’d had it and called it a night, went to bed and saw Ajax being thrown out of the European league (good!). Well SO saw it, I heard it.
Today we received a very very apologetic and embarrassed email, stating that for some reason our mail had been marked read, but this must have been due to an error in the repair shop. We rescheduled and asked politely to confirm this time, which she did. On Tuesday we’ll get to see the sketches. Let’s hope they and the garden-to-be are worth the wait.
